Ok, I have to brag. I know that is sinful and pride comes before fall; however...
My boys are playing basketball for high school (Ok so that is hard to think, I have a junior and a freshman....ugh....)
Anyway, for the first game Jacob started varsity and Nathan was the 6th man. I realize it is just summer ball, but I don't think I would be a good mom if I wasn't excited. Right? Right.
It had been a hard time at the end of school for them, so the feeling of some success was wonderful!!!!!! Even dad was a little excited.
We know there is A LOT of hard work that will be needed, and we aren't always going to see them in these spots...I know, but oh well. For right now, I am proud!!!!

Some would gather money
Along the path of life,
Some would gather roses,
And rest from worldly strife.
But I would gather children
From among the thorns of sin,
I would seek a golden curl,
And a freckled, toothless grin.
For money cannot enter
In that land of endless day,
And roses that are gathered
Soon will wilt along the way.
But oh, the laughing children,
As I cross the sunset sea,
And the gates swing wide to heaven
I can take them in with me!
Sometimes it is crazy, sometimes a little loud, but there is always more than enough love, for lots and lots of kids!!!

- My husband and I are from very rural Colorado. I am a Special Ed teacher in a k-12 school. We have five kiddos, from teenager to two. Our youngest is from China. What a gift it is to be able to raise these wonderful blessings!
